Insurance Information & Coverage Notice

At Hampton Eyecare Associates, PLLC, we want to ensure your visit is smooth and stress-free.

Insurance plans can vary widely, and coverage for eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses may differ based on your specific policy. To help us serve you better, we kindly ask all patients to verify their insurance benefits before their appointment.

This includes confirming:

  • Whether your plan includes Routine vision or medical eye care coverage
  • Whether Hampton Eyecare Associates and their doctors are in-network with your specific insurance plan
  • Your copays, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket costs you may be responsible for

Routine Vision vs. Medical Eye Care

  • Routine eye care refers to annual vision exams intended to update glasses or contact lens prescriptions and screen for general eye health. These visits are typically billed through your ROUTINE VISION insurance plan.
  • Medical eye care involves evaluating and treating eye conditions such as infections, dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, floaters, or any visit driven by a medical symptom or diagnosis, for example diabetes, hypertension or other systemic diseases that impact eye health. Medical visits must be billed through your MEDICAL insurance plan. Insurance rules require us to bill based on the reason for your visit and the findings during the exam—not on patient preference.

If you’re unsure about your coverage, we’re happy to assist you. Please call our office at 603-926-5471, and our team will help guide you through the verification process.

Thank you for helping us provide the best care possible. We appreciate your cooperation!
